Job description
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Bedford. As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient running of the warehouse and providing high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders accurately based on order lists.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Verify items against delivery invoices and report discrepancies.
- Assist in regular stocktaking and inventory audits.
- Utilize handheld devices or computers to update inventory records.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of stock movements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring order accuracy.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or a similar role
- Forklift licence
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical fitness, as the job involves manual handling and lifting heavy items
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-7:30pm
