Job description
Full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 5 rotational physiotherapist
Are you due to qualify physiotherapist or an experienced Band 5 looking to build on your experience? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our friendly and supportive physiotherapy teams based in North East London , bordering with Essex. Our services are committed to providing an excellent environment for professional growth and offers regular training, supervision and support for career progression including a preceptorship programme for all Newly qualified health professionals that encourages development and collaborative working with a variety of clinical staff. Your caseload will be varied and interesting, rotating every 6 months through the North East London boroughs of Havering, Barking and Dagenham, and Redbridge.
Our Varied community , outpatient and ward based rotations include :
1. MSK Physiotherapy Outpatients 2. Community rehabilitation ( Neuro) 3. Stroke rehabilitation 4. Community Respiratory 5. Inpatient rehabilitation wards 6. Intensive Rehabilitation Service
The main responsibilities of the post are:
1. To participate in the Band 5 rotational scheme across the trust in a range of settings (out-patient departments, health clinics, inpatient wards and patient homes).
2. To perform a competent assessment of patients, including those with multiple pathologies, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to formulate a diagnosis based on the clinical findings of their condition. Working with access to direct supervision from a more senior physiotherapist.
3. To develop and provide an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on best evidence-based practice, the treatment options may include the use of manual techniques, exercise classes, electrotherapy techniques and other alternate options.
COVID-19 Vaccination

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High-Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).
