Award winning manufacturing organisation, based in Alcester, requires an experienced Maintenance Technician with a mechanical bias to join their long-established team. This role requires an innovative, progressive individual with a strong engineering background, mobile plant products/vehicles knowledge, preventative maintenance experience, problem solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Offered as a permanent contract with competitive salary and benefits package, reporting directly to the Maintenance Engineer, as Maintenance Technicianyou would be responsible for:
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance of manufacturing plant & machinery
- Reviewing and updating maintenance tasks
- Involvement with the provision and co-ordination of engineering project support
- Maintenance of assembly/process machinery and general site facilities such as heating and lighting
- Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, ensuring the working environment is of an equally high standard
- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental requirements
- Implementing and enforcing Risk Assessments
- Raising issues where necessary to minimize cost and quality exposures
- Perform work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications
- Using various tools, measuring and testing instruments
- Knowledge of PLC’s and Fault Finding
- Planned Preventative Maintenance on Plant and equipment
Skills/attributes required by successful candidate for the role of Maintenance Technician
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline – desirable
- IT literate with experience using computer-based maintenance management systems to input data and obtain reports – desirable
- Degree in Engineering or industry relevant discipline - desirable
- Demonstrate experience/ability to inspect, diagnose, test, repair and maintain a range of different mobile plant products & vehicles
- Hold the ability to present ideas and proposals to others
- Demonstrate experience of preventative maintenance activities
- Possess a good working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a team player
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Great attention to detail and organisational skills

Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 07:00-16:00 Friday 07:00-12:00 – 39 hours
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000, dependent upon experience
