Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders.

Personal Tax Senior
St Albans

Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working on behalf of a leading, highly regarded firm of accountants who are looking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior to join the team in their St Albans office.

The role will involve managing a portfolio of circa 150 personal tax clients including HNWIs, company directors and sole traders for whom you will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently through the preparation and review of personal tax computations and returns.

As well as the day to day compliance work for your clients, you will be involved with the provision of tax planning advice to your clients.

The ideal candidate will be at least ATT qualified, CTA qualified or studying towards and will have a wealth of experience in Personal Tax work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful individual to join a well-regarded and forward-thinking firm in St Albans as a Personal Tax Senior in a mixed compliance and advisory role, where there will be genuine scope for career development with the offer of hybrid working (3 days in office/2 days wfh)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact.
Preparation and review of personal tax returns.
Providing guidance, training and support to junior staff.
Opportunity to get involved and assist on tax planning and advisory matters to get exposure to wider skills.

Skills:

ATT Qualified, CTA Part or Fully Qualified.
Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment.
Good working knowledge of CCH would be an advantage.
Experience of dealing with company directors, dividends and salary planning would be desirable.
