starting at £28,759 to £32,982 per annum, pro rata if part time
We are seeking to hire a Project Officer to assist in the management and co-ordination of a large interdisciplinary project on enhancing climate resilience among farming and pastoralist communities in eastern Africa. The post is funded by a 3-year UKRI project led by Dr. Anna Rabinovich. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Rabinovich and Prof. Drury in the School of Psychology, University of Sussex, alongside a postdoctoral researcher, an large international team (partners in the UK, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Kenya), and other students or interns who may join the project during its course.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the logistical and financial aspects of the project, including tasks such as regular communication with team members on administrative matters, organizing field and conference travel, arranging contracts and payments to teams in different international locations, overseeing the budget and staff hiring, helping prepare the grant reports and visuals (e.g., slides, charts) for the project, setting up and managing the project webpage. Other duties, commensurate with the grading of the post, may also be assigned from time to time.
