Job description
What you will do in your working day
Main Duties:
- Work under the supervision of a skilled machinist to learn and develop practical skills.
- Complete all tasks set by the supervisor.
- Work closely with staff to foster professional values and build good relationships.
- Observe health and safety guidelines at all times.
The training you will be getting
- The learner will be studying the Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- On satisfactory completion of the apprenticeship a long-term contract will be offered.
