Job description
CMA are currently working with a Romsey based business who are listed as one of the UK’s fastest growing businesses. With a global client based and a strong growth trajectory, they are seeking to appoint a Pricing Analyst to join their growing team. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for determining effective pricing strategies, analysing financial data and ensuring pricing is competitive while maintaining profitability. You will also be responsible for determining the appropriate pricing for company products in several markets based on a variety of factors.
What will the Pricing Analyst role involve?
- Conduct thorough and extensive market research to gather insights on competitor pricing, industry benchmarks, market trends, and customer behaviours in various regions to inform pricing decisions.
- Utilise strong financial and commercial acumen and advanced skills in financial modelling and Excel to analyse pricing data and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to develop and implement effective pricing strategies that align with the company's goals and competitive positioning.
- Leverage analytical tools and techniques to interpret complex data sets, providing valuable insights into pricing optimisation and profitability.
- Work closely with the Senior Data Administrator and other departments to ensure accurate pricing information and facilitate seamless communication about price lists across teams and storefronts.
- Engage in ad-hoc financial analytical work as required, contributing to various analytical projects, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Study consumer habits to determine how much people are willing to pay for various products, identifying patterns in consumer spending behaviour.
- Develop comprehensive price change proposals, outlining the total impact of proposed adjustments, both financially and strategically. Present these proposals to management for review and approval.
Suitable Candidate for the Pricing Analyst vacancy:
- Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst, Financial Analyst, or a comparable role.
- Strong financial acumen, with advanced skills in financial modelling and data analysis. Advanced Excel skills is a prerequisite.
- Can explain complex subjects in a clear and succinct way, verbally and in writing.
- A meticulous approach, with a focus on accuracy in data analysis and pricing decisions.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to think creatively to develop innovative pricing strategies that set the company apart in the market.
- Prioritise the customer perspective in pricing decisions, ensuring value for both the customer and the company.
- Proactively seek opportunities for learning and growth in a dynamic business environment.
- Demonstrate a proactive and self-driven approach to acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic work environments, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.

- Flexi hours – core hours 10am – 4.30pm with the ability to flex start time between 8am and 10am and leave time between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
