Environmental Coordinator
UK wide – based both on site (various locations) and home working/flexible arrangements.

This is a key support role, responsible for assisting the Group Environmental and Group ESH Managers with environmental activities throughout the business. Operating on a group-wide basis, you’ll focus on developing, implementing and overseeing environmental programmes and initiatives across our various sites.
Specifically, some responsibilities of an Environmental Coordinator include:
Working closely with cross functional teams to drive environmental performance and ensure our compliance with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, this will involve:
- Conducting regular environmental inspections, audits and assessments to identify risk and areas for improvement, as well as helping to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Collecting and analysing environmental data to monitor performance and track key indicators, along with the preparation and submission of related reports and commentaries.
- Implementing sustainability programmes as directed, promoting energy efficient practices and managing emergency response plans for environmental incidents.
- Develop and deliver environmental training programmes, whilst fostering a group-wide culture of environmental awareness and individual responsibility.
About you:
Able to effectively navigate and coordinate activities across a number of diverse locations, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional, holding a NEBOSH or IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management, who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a similar environmental coordination or related role, including evidence of working across multiple sites or in a diverse working environment.
- An in-depth understanding of environmental regulations and standards, coupled with a practical working knowledge of ISO systems, particularly 14001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, backed by first rate communication skills and the confidence to build and develop relationships from shopfloor through to senior management.
Candidates must hold a Full Driving License as the role requires travel to sites throughout the UK.
