Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Private Client Tax Senior to join our advisory private client tax team in Horsham. As the Private Client Tax Senior you will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, providing support to supervisors and managers whilst supervising junior staff and you will take responsibility for completing tasks accurately, to deadline and the liaising with clients in line with the Client Charter.
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate initiative and judgement and develop technical expertise and progress against technical competencies. Your goal will be to ensure all client personal tax needs are met whilst ensuring that all client hygiene targets are adhered to.
Your key responsibilities as Private Client Tax Senior will include: - The day to day management of a portfolio of clients both in relation to client matters and internal administration
- Reviewing tax returns and accompanying workings as drafted by junior staff
- Obtaining missing information etc. from clients, third parties or elsewhere in the firm as appropriate
- Complete posting for complex or missing areas of tax returns or oversee this
- Prepare complex capital gains computations
- Provide on the job training for junior staff where possible and providing feedback on a timely basis
What we're looking for - Qualified CTA/ATT or qualified by experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen eye for detail
