Job Description :
J3289 - New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading solutions-oriented asset finance partner in its search for a Senior Credit Underwriter to underwrite and evaluate credit and transaction risks through completion of credit applications for new and existing customers.
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Surrey (Hybrid)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyse and underwrite transactions under own authority for all types of assets.
Analysis of customer creditworthiness via financial data, credit and sector reports; including customer visits.
Risk evaluation of the deal structure including collaterals, asset values and evaluation of exposure.
Preparation of credit applications for deals above own authority.
Pre-qualification of deals with Sales function.
Full compliance with all Risk Policies.
Adherence to decision making according to the authority matrix.
Compliance with rating systems.
Risk Reporting.
Organize and maintain credit files.
Novation and reschedule decisions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Relevant experience in credit risk / lending division of leasing company or financial institution.
Experience of personal underwriting authority for new business.
Detailed understanding of financial statements and ability to interpret them .
Ability to work with all levels inside the business.
Strong MS Office skills, ability to work remotely.
Car driver essential.
