Job description
General Manager, The Spiritualist Aberdeen Base Salary of £33 - £35,000+ £3,000k Tronc Average + Up to 40% of Salary Bonus The Spiritualist is established in the heart of Aberdeen City Centre, mainly serving creative, experimental and whimsical cocktails & small plates.
In 2024 we are looking for a new leader to build on a strong period of growth within the business. The Spiritualist is a far step away from anything ordinary and we are looking for the right person to bring creativity and flare to the role. Personality is key here and we want our guests and team to have a fabulous experience every time.
The venue offers a full-service experience, serving coffee in the morning, casual dining over lunch and cocktails late into the evening. Boozy brunches and mixology classes is a huge part of the business so the right candidate needs to be able to bring the party.
Maxing out at just over 90 covers over split levels plus a private dining room, you’ll need to have experience leading service and Front/Back of House Teams.
Duties
- Manage and oversee the entire bar operation
- Deliver superior guest experiences
- Plan and develop overall strategy
- Entrepreneurial drive with a clear understanding of the current market
- Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sale
- Control costs and minimise waste
- Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions when required
Required Skills - Three years minimum of management experience
- Experience in event planning
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Good Financial management skills
