Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM)

Location – Warrington, North West

(North West & Central)

Further to continued growth and contract awards, a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager (CEM) to join our rail team in the North West & Central region, supporting multi-disciplinary rail and civil engineering projects and frameworks.

Business Unit

A busy and fast paced project and maintenance environment involving in a range of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, working for a varied range of clients including Local Authorities, Network Rail and Environmental.

Projects can typically include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as:

Highways & Roads, underbridges, overbridges and footbridges, tunnels, flood alleviation & repairs, earthworks & embankments and rail platforms and station infrastructure etc.

We currently have a number of live infrastructure projects and long term renewals and maintenance frameworks underway including Civils Asset Management (CAM) & Buildings Asset Management (BAM).

The Role

As Engineering Manager (CEM) you will be working within project delivery teams, responsible for managing the design delivery process for both the internal design team and external designers, primarily dedicated to schemes within regional frameworks but also providing support to a variety of multi-disciplinary rail, civil engineering projects throughout the North West & Central region.

You will be responsible for managing the engineering process throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with the Project Manager and CRE(s), reporting to the Contracts Manager for the associated project/ programme of works.

To excel in this position, you will have been approved as a CEM within a (similar) rail contracting organisation & have extensive railway, civils project experience.
