Job description
We’re working with the private sector arm of a large housing association, whose profits are re-invested into long term affordable housing for the wider community.
Overseeing a portfolio that is South East centric (Surrey/Sussex/Kent/Hampshire) from their Surrey office base, they now seek an experienced, quality minded Property Manager as follows:
- Working part home, part site and part office based (determined by business needs but on average split as 1 or 2 days office, 1 day site and the rest from home)
- Undertaking the full range of duties from budget setting to major works, insurance provision, handovers, site inspections and daily resident contact
- Portfolio is both in-house (built by the housing association) and private (as a profit making entity our client accepts external instructions, the profits from which are re-invested)
- The estates managed (whilst not high in volume terms) are spread across Surrey, Sussex and Kent, so the suitable Property Manager will need to live centrally in order to have access (although if you are based in Hampshire, the portfolio can be adjusted to work for that location too).
- The entire portfolio is in very good order, so the focus of this role is maintaining excellent standards and relationships
- You will need 3-5 years Block Management experience, all of which will have been gained as part a stable career history
- Whilst IRPM is beneficial, it is not essential and can be supported in post.
As a subsidiary of a Housing Association, our client offers excellent benefits including 5 weeks holiday (plus public), up to 8% pension contribution, £4k car allowance and a starting basic salary of around £42k (total package well in excess of £50k).
