Job description

Our client based between Kettering and Corby is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to join their team.

You will join a team of engineers on a rotating weekly shift across 2 sites, carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on plant equipment such as conveyors, elevators, motors, drivers & PLCS’s as well as some office facility maintenance.

This varied position will be working in confined spaces, at height and outside so this role would suit those that have no fear!

• Complete all PPM tasks, ensuring down time is kept to a minimum.
• Deal with any machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
• Complete fault finding and diagnostic checks both mechanically and electronically on plant machinery.
• Continuously looking to improve procedures and processes.
• Record keeping of work via maintenance logging system.
• Organising quotations for parts and spares required for repairs of machinery.
• It is important that work is done in a timely and organized manner, is of high-quality whilst always adhering to Health & Safety best practice.

What we are looking for:

• Proven maintenance experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical bias
• Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at height
• Flexible approach to work overtime during busy periods.
