If you said yes to the above, we are looking for you! We are looking for a motivated Cluster Manager to lead our team of 5 clinics in Christchurch, to achieve its full potential while overseeing the daily operation of our clinics.
Tāmaki Health is a strong network of over 50 clinics delivering care through our affiliated general practices, urgent care clinics, specialist centers, and occupational health clinics across the country. Through our clinic brands including Local Doctors and White Cross, we serve New Zealand's communities with the highest standard of GP and Urgent Care, we also have a strong presence in Christchurch including Riccarton Medical Centre, Greers Road Medical, Eastcare, New Brighton Healthcare & Shirley Medical Centre.
About the position
The Cluster Manager role is responsible for ensuring that each clinic in your area achieves financial, customer service, and operational goals and plans. The role provides leadership and management oversight for the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and integrated patient care consistent with organizational values and practices.
This role will give you the flexibility to make decisions and will challenge your judgment and leadership to achieve different goals and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Clinics' Foundation, Cornerstone and Urgent Care Accreditation (where applicable)
- Proactively plan for the annual audit process, to ensure that the necessary systems are in place for successful audits
- Health & Safety is managed and risk is managed in line with organisational requirements and tools/audits/policies/procedures
- Compiling regularly required reports (e.g., Board reports). Coordinating information required by GM
- Manage team rosters (nursing, medical and administration) in partnership with Practice Managers and Medical Leads and, in alignment with the planned budget and staffing guidelines.
- Monitor waiting times, patient flow, and service levels within clinics and respond to ensure objectives are met
- Manage the People, Culture and Capability and facilitates issues arising in clinics.
- Lead recruitment with Practice Managers for Clinic workforce in line with budgets
- Ensure that workforce levels are aligned with the planned budget and guidelines.
- P&L Accountability for overall Cluster performance
- Coach, develop and support Clinic teams in their roles
You will need to have:
- 6 years min in leadership role, with P&L accountability
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent financial acumen/interpretation, with clear reporting ca
- Preferably previous experience managing a team in the medical industry
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical mind set and problem-solving orientation.
- Knowledge of Lean operations is a definite advantage.
- Strong and confident communication skills.
- Good knowledge of a variety of software packages including Microsoft 365.
- A high level of skill and knowledge of MedTech 32 practice management software or similar will be a definite advantage.
- Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Māori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
