Job description
Use your Web Design skills and experience to help us improve the user experience of our websites. This is a great opportunity to push our charity’s boundaries and make a real difference in many areas of our work.
What will you be doing?Tasks will include:
Creating designs based on research, with accessibility in mind
Help develop our branding/style guide, applying elements of our Brand Book to our websites
Perform User Testing and feed back to development team
You should have:
Access to a reliable device and internet connection, sufficient to carry out the work required for the role and able to hold Google Meet (Hangout) video calls.
Relevant skills and experience including web design, user research and service design, for the role.
An interest in family history would be a bonus!
We believe that EVERYONE has a right to access their family’s historical records for free. Barriers to this can have a massive impact on the marginalised in society who need access to records, for example, to establish their residency status. Help us to improve our services for family history researchers which will enable Free UK Genealogy to continue to provide FREE access to records for all, and not hide them behind paywalls.
