Maintenance Engineer
West Sussex
Salary - £41.5k
Alecto Recruitment is currently working with a well-established environmental services company with a busy 24/7 processing facility in West Sussex. They are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer with relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- You will undertake the delivery of day to day planned and reactive workload or provide technical expertise.
- To undertake all prioritised and planned maintenance work, ensuring that tools, parts and materials are fit for purpose and production downtime is minimized whilst also upholding and exceeding standards of safety.
- To ensure stores systems are maintained to the highest standards and that critical parts are available.
- To ensure that all plant and equipment on sites is modified and improved, as necessary, to maximise equipment availability and performance whilst still achieving output levels required to meet production demands. Ensure that all modifications or changes to equipment are in line with PUWER machinery safety regulations.
- To undertake engineering project work and assist with new installations or refurbishments.
Requirements
- Awareness of Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and their impacts
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft office systems
- Good understanding of a proactive maintenance strategy and condition monitoring
- Knowledge of CMMS systems, purpose and functionality
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and safety
- Understanding of safe systems of work. I.e. Plant isolations and safety systems
