We require an assistant to join our Well-Fed enterprise to support the running of the food store
Job Purpose
To support the cook in delivering a catering service to the school, carrying out the full range of kitchen/catering duties.
. Basic cooking and preparation of food and beverages e.g. preparing snacks, reconstitution of prepared foods, preparation of vegetables, salad and fruit, etc, ensuring adherence to food hygiene and health and safety standards, regulations and guildelines.

1. General kitchen and dining room duties including the setting up and clearing away foods, moving tables and chairs, washing up, and packing & unpacking despatch containers, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
2. Under the supervision of the cook, receive and check orders and stock as necessary.
3. To exercise customer care skills to provide customers with a friendly and helpful service.
4. Undertake any other duties which are commensurate with the general nature & grade of the post.
5. Staff at all levels have responsibilities for Training & Development in accordance with the County Council’s policy.

Experience
Experience in a kitchen is not essential as full training will be provided
