Job Title: Learning and Development Manager
Salary: Up To £40,000
Location: On-site role located in Haydock, North West.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5.00pm
My client who is one of the UK’s leading envelope contractors, offering a complete turnkey service of design, installation and project management. They work on the most prestigious building development projects, delivering to the highest specifications. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join their fantastic team. Top of Form
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with managing the training and development of employees. The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, designing and implementing training plans for all employees to meet (at a minimum) the competencies for their role in line with the Building Safety Act.
As the Learning & Development manager your responsibilities will include: - Provide a clear L&D pathway in line with mandatory and the aspirational wishes of team members.
- Creating and delivering training face to face or remotely
- Creating training modules on our online platform ? Apply for training grants and funding where applicable.
- Manage and maintain the training matrix ensuring that all training is up to date for both directly employed and sub-contractors.
- Build good working relationships with stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with key training providers to enable preferential rates
- Encourage and mentor each team member into understanding the benefits and being an active participant in their own training, learning and development to create career progression.
- Develop applicable CPD training plans for every team member relating to their specific job role to ensure they meet the minimum required CPD hours
- Ensure that we meet all mandatory training needs throughout the business
Learning & Development manager Qualifications and Skills:
- Training & Development and Learning Management skills
- Leadership Development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess training needs and develop appropriate solutions
- Ability to build rapport with employees
- Assertive communicator and influencer, tailoring communication styles to the target audience
- Previous experience within a similar role
- CIPD Qualification or equivalent is a plus
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
