Extend Robotics is looking for an AI Engineering Scientist to join our team in Reading area, UK.
About the job:
You will be working closely with the R&D and product teams, to deliver next generation robotic software to rapidly automate tasks with intuitive human-in-the-loop interface.
- Hands-on development of state-of-the-art AI and machine learning algorithms for general-purpose, dexterous mobile manipulation applications.
- Develop scalable data collection, training, and real-time inferencing framework for large scale commercial deployment.
- Work with the product team to integrate AI & ML solutions to intuitive human robot interface enable robust real-world applications.
- Contribute to the product roadmap and technology plan and project proposals.
- Produce packaged libraries and technical documents.
About the candidate:
- Expert knowledge in state-of-the-art deep imitation learning and deep reinforcement learning frameworks for robotic applications, such as ACT and diffusion.
- In-depth hands-on experience with state-of-the-art neural network architectures and strong understanding of generative AI and multi-modal transformer.
- Expert experience in mainstream machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Knowledge of ROS architecture, C++, python, Linux bash scripts.
- Experience in robotic manipulations, navigation, and perception.
- Passionate about human-centric autonomy.
- Experience working with agile development practices, git version control, CI services/frameworks/tools.
- Able to listen, absorb new ideas and extrapolate novel solutions.
