Job description
We are looking for a Junior Industrial Designer to join our growing team. The role is full-time, working on numerous projects from concept to production, based in our studio in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Founded in 2013, Studio Wood is an award-winning team of multidisciplinary designers on Bournemouth’s South Coast, working with like-minded clients to create intelligent and meaningful products that make a positive impact on their industry and planet. We create products that put functionality first, transcend trends and appeal to all.
We are proud to be a gender balanced studio and are now looking to further grow and bring in an additional Junior Industrial Designer to join our team.
We work closely with our clients to ensure design solutions are intuitive, simple and honest. Sharing the same core design principles and product vision has led us to form strong, trusting relationships with our clients. Clients include; Chilly’s, Naim Audio, Kingfisher, Joseph Joseph, Beryl and Tesco.
THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of emerging technologies whilst solving problems holistically with a human-centered approach. They would also share our emphasis on meaningful design, looking to create solutions that are accessible, sustainable, solve problems and generally elevate what came before them. The ideal candidate will be supported by a highly skilled and motivated design team.
