Status:         Fixed term for 12 months

Salary:         Band 5, £28,692 - £35,113 per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Outer London Fringe Allowance

Hours:         Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About Us:

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the Combat Stress Research Department on a fixed-term contract as a Research Assistant (RA).  The role is primarily supporting a UK-wide project to increase professional knowledge and clinical treatment capacity for women veterans who have experienced military sexual trauma (MST).  The RA will take responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of the project, including dissemination of materials, liaison with stakeholders, managing professional engagement in the education programme, and lead the data collection process to measure project impact.  The role will also involve co-facilitating seminars for professionals who work with women veterans who have experienced MST.

The role will also potentially include getting involved with a number of different research projects run by the Research Department and working to support the dissemination of research findings both externally, and internally within Combat Stress.

This role is subject to a DBS check.
