HGV Technician 

Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire

Salary: Up to £40k + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Client:

Our client is a well-established automotive firm, supplying the full range of commercial trucks, used trucks, trailers and vans and provide outstanding service to their customers. 

The Role:

As an  HGV Technician, you will play a pivotal role in performing scheduled maintenance and repairs of HGVs, LCVs, vans, and trailers following manufacturer's guidelines and collaborating closely with a team of technicians to ensure efficient, timely, and top-quality work.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fast and accurate fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out vehicle maintenance and servicing.
• Prepare vehicles for MOTs, complete safety checks.
• Deliver high levels of customer service.
• Participate in breakdown assistance.
• Ensure accurate completion of job cards and service records.
• Maintain workshop facilities, equipment, and tools.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or in a similar role
• City & Guilds (C&G), NVQ Level 3, or an equivalent qualification.
• Time served technician will also be considered.

Shifts:

• Early: 07:00 – 15:30 (Mon-Fri)
• Late: 14:00 - 22:00 (Mon-Fri)
• Saturday: 6:00am - 12:00pm
• Nights also available
