Job description
What you will do in your working day
Duties will include:
- You will prepare financial information, reports and returns for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individuals whilst also using computer software to record financial transactions
- You will prepare and provide personal and company tax computations, regular VAT returns and bookkeeping services
- You will also help in information gathering to analyse and report information about income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and control
The training you will be getting - Professional Accounting or Taxation Technician Level 4
- Functional skills in maths and Engliah (if required)
- The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a professional qualification which can help you to achieve a rewarding career in accountancy
- Studying for the AAT apprenticeship qualifications includes learning the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting standards, as well as personal and business tax
- We will not only offer you support and mentoring throughout your training, but we will also fund the training, pay you your normal salary on the days you attend classes or time in the office to study and give you paid study leave to have extra revision time
- You will also receive regular pay reviews
- The Professional accounting or tax technician standard allows student registration with a number of UK professional bodies in this sector. If a candidate seeks to become a member of a professional body there may be other requirements specific to the relevant professional body, which may be taken as part of, or alongside, the apprenticeship at the employer's and candidate's discretion
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship - Opportunities to later progress and gain further qualifications are available for the right candidates
- Completion of the professional accounting or tax technician apprenticeship may lead to the candidate receiving credits towards the completion of the Professional accountant or tax apprenticeship or chartered Accountancy or taxation qualifications provided by the relevant professional bodies. Completion of the professional accounting or tax technician apprenticeship may also result in credits being awarded towards relevant undergraduate degree programmes
