Reporting to the Asset Collaboration Room Team Lead, the primary function of this position is the provision of technical electrical support for daily operations and expertise for the platform maintenance crew.

Our client is looking for an Electrical Support Engineer for a contract position, located in Aberdeen, with potential for offshore visits to support workscope.
ROLE:
Reporting to the Asset Collaboration Room Team Lead, the primary function of this position is the provision of technical electrical support for daily operations and expertise for the platform maintenance crew.
The role is responsible for delivering high quality technical support across a wide range of electrical issues and representing the Asset for all electrical related issues across the business as directed by asset management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide electrical support to operations daily to maintain high production and water injection efficiency.
- Accountable for reviewing maintenance plans to ensure plan attainment can be met.
- Responsible for frontline support for electrical field equipment such including but not limited to, motors, switchgear, UPS and power management systems
- Liaise with technical and HSE support functions across the business.
- Work closely with supply chain to ensure optimisation of onshore repairs and support with identification of suitable replacement components where obsolescence is an issue.
- Raise Engineering changes and liaise as required with the Facilities Engineering function.
- Applies professional knowledge to problems and provides guidance to offshore operations.
- Work collaboratively in teams to develop plans to achieve long term objectives or implement corporate strategies.
- Identify risk and mitigating activities as well as identify barriers to implement plans accordingly.
- Consistently applies sound engineering principles and performs work in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Review and evaluate recommendations and actions proposed by others.
- Take course of action necessary to expedite the successful accomplishment of assigned workscopes.
- Works collaboratively and demonstrates willingness and ability to collaborate with others to achieve key results.
REQUIREMENTS
A relevant degree is desired but not essential for this role, this position would suit experienced individuals who possess a strong maintenance support background within an operating environment with broad electrical engineering experience.
We are particularly interested in you if you have the following skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- Broad engineering experience including hands-on operations field environment and interaction with engineering discipline for project development.
- Able to balance innovation and risk in addressing operational challenges.
- Knowledgeable on performance standards and ensuring the asset are compliant with requirements of the verification scheme.
- Has a clear understanding and knowledge of Company Key Results.
- Experience in interacting with engineering discipline and third-party contractors.
- Strong initiative and orientation towards continuous improvement.
- Accountable for developing budget for electrical areas of responsibility and delivering approved budget.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a flexible team environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team by effectively handling cultural, political and economic differences.
- Proficient in CMMS (preferably SAP) for managing work and reviewing maintenance plans
