Growth has no sector . At The Growth Foundation, we’re working with really interesting growing businesses; from apparel to formula one, cosmetics to championship football. We work directly with the founders, so we’re right at the heart of things and can make a real difference to what they do.

We’re especially strong in consumer packaged goods with direct-to-consumer eCommerce and Marketplace models, but our growing team , has experience across everything from utilities to high-end fashion. Our skills and experience can be brought to bear on all business functions from Brand & Marketing, Trading & Operations, Tech & Insight and Finance & Talent; we effectively mirror our clients’ organisation.

THE ROLE 

The Growth Foundation is looking for a Head of Marketplace to be able to fully manage Amazon and other marketplace services globally, across a range of clients in different categories and sectors. We want someone who can be hands on and drive incredible results, whilst also having the strategic ability to manage and grow a team, and be accountable for an individual P&L for the Marketplace function. Your role will be varied and wide ranging, but its core accountabilities will be:

Team management : The management of a growing team of highly specialised Marketplace experts. Not only are you responsible for their performance, but also their development and growth within the business as well. We’ll also be looking at you to shape and sculpt the team as it evolves, ensuring we have the right skillset and resource in place to ensure we always deliver the best service and results for our clients.

  Client Management : Our clients are our business, without them we don’t exist. So we want to make sure we look after them incredibly well. But client management is more than just ensuring they’re ok - it’s ensuring we’re communicating in a cadence that works for them, its ensuring we’re educating and advising them on the role of marketplaces within their business, its ensuring they know that we are on top of performance, its ensuring they feel we are an extension of their team - above all else it's ensuring we build trust as their agency partner and deliver our core objective, to facilitate growth for them the right way.

  Business Development : We have big ambitions for the marketplace function, and we’ll want you to establish, nurture and report on a healthy business development pipeline. From establishing contact all the way through to pitching and winning new business, this is an integral part of this role. You’re not alone, you’ll have the full support of the wider business to ensure you have all the tools and resources you need to successfully grow the client base in line with our commercial ambitions.
