About the Role: As a 1:1 LSA, you will work closely with individual students, providing tailored support to help them succeed academically and personally. Whether it's assisting with classroom activities, providing emotional support, or facilitating communication, your role will be crucial in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-to-one support to students with diverse learning needs, adapting strategies to meet individual requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans and interventions.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and independence.
- Assist with classroom tasks and activities, ensuring students are engaged and supported throughout the learning process.
- Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to inform future support strategies.
Requirements: - Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support the learning and well-being of students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and school environments.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
