Job description

To help us keep our communities safe and secure, our Security team play an important role in detecting and preventing crime in partnership with Northumbria Police and the Community and Public Space Protection team.

We are looking for a flexible, highly motivated individual, who is a confident communicator committed to delivering excellent customer service to join our team on a part time basis (17 hours per week). 

You will be responsible for the installation, use and monitoring of the Authority’s CCTV cameras, provide static guard duties, attend to alarm activations, and patrol the Borough as and when requested. You will work as part of a dynamic team ensuring that all security duties, as directed, are carried out efficiently.

The successful candidate must be able to commit to a shift pattern that involves working throughout the 24-hour day, be able to work during the week, weekends and on public holidays.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
