Job description
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB are looking for a Senior Electrician to join the team in our Greatworth to Southam section of works. This position will carry out preventative maintenance on tunnelling environment and equipment. This role will also carry out unplanned maintenance and repairs on tunnelling equipment and undertake installation of tunnelling electrical services including HV switching and testing.
The Senior Electrician will provide on-going surface installations as and when required. The ideal candidate will have previously held an AP and or CP position with the adequate training in place.
About The Candidate
- Extensive experience working on site & on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects with proven track record with delivery of such scheme and supervisory experience of labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors
- Excellent communication, organisational, planning, time and team management skills
- CSCS supervisor card
- SMSTS qualification
- CPCS qualification desired
- You must hold a driving license to be considered for this role
- Desired: First aid Training, Environmental awareness, NRSWA supervisor
- A relevant engineering degree /HND or HNC/ apprenticeship or equivalent with significant. industry experience.
- Qualified to the current BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Ability to understand and work from drawings and schematics.
- Comprehensive knowledge BS6164
- Experienced in fault-finding techniques in electrical systems and devices.
- Experienced in the supervision of others and contractors.
