Requirement & Configuration Expert A well-known client is looking for a Requirements & Configuration Expert for their Metro and LRT project in Qatar. The Requirement & Configuration Expert will support the Employer by monitoring compliance of project delivery to all the Employer's Requirements and the derived Safety Requirements in a timely manner. Ensure that the Requirements Management Processes and Tool's usage for all projects is robust in terms of Verification and Validation. Oversee the application of Configuration and Change Management and implementation as per Configuration and Change Management (Programme and Operational) Plans. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Engineering EXPERINCE: * 10+ years of experience in an engineering position. * A good working background of Requirements Management within the Rail Industry from developed Countries is essential, min 5 years. * A good working background of Change and Configuration Management within the Rail Industry. * Good knowledge of Common Safety Methods and EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and EN61508 is essential. * Experience of contributing to Safety Assurance and Management including participation in Hazard Identification and Analysis will be an advantage. * High level of conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills and project management SKILLS * Good software skills in DOORs, ComplyPro or similar. * Good skills with the Microsoft Office Package and specially Excel * Formulate the Requirements, Configuration and Change Management Plans and Procedures. * Provide regular briefings to Directors, Executive Management and/or Operations Change Panel with respect Verification & Validation progress, status of configuration activities and/or status of programme and operational changes. * Periodically Review and update the Requirements Management Plan and Procedure to keep aligned with the Programme and all Project needs and organisation. * Review the Requirements Management Plan and Process from all contracted projects for alignment with the Plan and Procedure and for robustness of verification and validation. * Review the processes for demonstration of the Safety Requirements for all projects for consistency with Safety Management Plan and the Requirements Management Procedure. * Provide User Administration and Limited Configuration Support for ComplyPro and DOORS (Requirements Management Tools) for existing and future projects. * Implement changes to Employers Requirements within ComplyPro as and when needed, Produce consolidated requirements baselines. * Contribute to the Safety Assurance Team for all matters relating to Safety and Requirements compliance. * Co-ordinate with PMC & Contractors on effective delivery of Requirements Progress and Compliance Information. * Check that items identified by the implementation of Assumptions & Issues Management Processes are verified and closed. * Allocate Program Functional Requirements to Projects, agree allocation of the requirements to the delivery teams, implement apportionment and Design and Validation Acceptance Criteria uniformly between various Projects. * Develop strong working relationships with Delivery Teams, contractors & within the organisation. * Champion the Requirements Management Plan and Process and the usage of ComplyPro tool to all stakeholders for a common understanding and acceptance. * Champion the Change and Configuration Management processes and ensure their application and usage.
