CBTax are seeking a Capital Allowances Senior Manager to join our team to support the firm's continued growth across the UK. Our team is the backbone of our success, and as Capital Allowances Senior Manager you will be responsible in growing our Capital Allowances offering.
We are seeking proactive individuals who can independently manage tasks while also collaborating effectively with other Senior Managers, Directors, and Clients. Candidates should have experience in client portfolio management, understanding risks related to quality control procedures, leading projects, and educating and motivating staff. A degree or equivalent qualification (CTA and/or ACA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support for real estate and infrastructure deals, claim preparation, and technical advice.
- Designing and developing fixed asset technology solutions for inbound and listed groups across various sectors, with a focus on Capital Allowances.
- Managing a portfolio of Capital Allowance clients and overseeing project delivery.
- Preparing Capital Allowance claims for submission to HMRC.
- Managing client engagements and cultivating strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Responding to HMRC queries or liaising with them on behalf of clients regarding Capital Allowance claims.
- Offering advice on tax technical points to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Supervising junior team members and updating senior stakeholders on project progress.
- Identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities, including involvement in proposal submissions.
- Collaborating within a strong team-oriented environment.
Required Experience
- Background in a tax environment, specializing in Capital Allowances.
- Proficient knowledge of tax incentives and experience in preparing Capital Allowances claims.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple live projects concurrently and managing one's workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, serving as the main point of contact for managed projects with various stakeholders.
- Coaching and delegation abilities, supporting the growth of technical expertise and soft skills in the team.
- Strong written skills for report writing, technical memo drafting, and concise advice notes.
- Analytical skills for numerical analysis of client data.
