The Grange Centre
Location
Bookham, Surrey | United Kingdom
Job description
The Grange is a housing provider for adults with disabilities. We have an older property which is no longer appropriate for our needs. We would like advice and support on how to divest of this property and its freehold.
What will you be doing? The property we are looking to divest consists of 3 flats and two ground floor shops. The Grange owns the freehold to the entire building but the shops are let on long leases (999 years) at a pepper corn rent. We would like to sell the shop freeholds to the tenants. We would also like to sell the three flats (possibly one by one). We believe we will need to set up a freehold management company to look after the residential properties for which the new owners would ultimately become the shareholders.
What are we looking for?You will have experience of dealing with legal aspects of freeholds and will have previously dealt with similar situations to the one described.
What difference will you make? You will be helping The Grange to divest of a property which is no longer fit for our purposes and to release funds which will allow us to purchase a new, more appropriate, property.
Before you applyPlease make contact with us via Reach volunteering in the first instance.
