Join our dynamic staff team and become a Support Worker with Mencap in our Keady service, Northern Ireland. You will actively be making a real difference to the lives of the people with a learning disability. We have a full time (37.5 hours per week) role on a permanent basis.
Support workers with support and training will deliver a fantastic service to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, independent and happy life. Care setting experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
In the role of a Support Worker you will be:
- Excellent communication skills
- Be caring and patient
- Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.)
- You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. Showering and to use the bathroom.
Working with Mencap you will be making a positive change to the lives of people with learning disability. We can guarantee that now two days are the same and every day unique.
