Job description

Lancing College is seeking to recruit a Chemistry Technician, to ensure the effective provision of materials, equipment and other resources for science lessons in order to facilitate the provision of high quality educational experiences to students and to support teaching staff within the Science Department. 

This role is for term time only, plus three days at the end of term plus three days prior to the start of every term.

The applicant must:

• Qualifications; Science GCSEs (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a school science technician
• The ability to prioritise and to work to deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Good IT skills
• Self-motivated, self-confident and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management, organisation and administration skills
• Enjoy working to a high standard in a demanding environment
• Reliable and highly conscientious individual with a warm and professional manner
• Approachable and measured in manner with the ability to form strong working relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
