Job description
The Opportunity: Eight Versa is currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Freelance Carbon Footprint Auditor to join our database of verifiers. The primary role of this position is to verify the carbon footprints created by Eight Versa, against the Natural Carbon Solutions Carbon Footprinting Protocol and using our proprietary carbon footprint calculation software. You will need to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the carbon footprint data and assumptions which will aid client’s journey towards reduced environmental impact. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough verifications of carbon footprint calculations ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols, namely GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 Identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the carbon footprint data and work collaboratively to rectify the issue Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement on the data you are auditing Use our proprietary software that comprises all footprint data and provides an easy-to-use verification record which tracks the steps of the verification and the resolutions actioned Participate in training sessions to fully understand our processes and verification approach Personal attributes and skills: Proven experience in carbon footprint assessments, environmental auditing, or a related field Knowledge of environmental standards and protocols such as GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors in complex datasets Good communication skills, namely the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback Ability to work independently, manage multiple verifications simultaneously, and meet deadlines Expressions of interest: If you would like to join us in our mission to support businesses in their sustainability efforts and make a tangible impact on reducing global carbon emissions, please apply directly via LinkedIn or send an email to [email protected] highlighting your experience and expected capacity to undertake verifications.
