Job description

We invite applications to join this most unique and exciting of schools as we continue our journey towards true excellence in education. We are interested in applicants who think differently and do things differently, who are aware of the world around them and who want to make a positive contribution to the development of young people.

The successful candidate will lead STEM at a school that prides itself on its high expectations and also being truly inclusive. The Director of STEM will teach up to 65% of the timetable per week of a STEM related academic subject (Science or Maths).

The Director of STEM will work closely alongside the other leaders and Vice Principal in charge of outcomes, to develop a strong and ambitious STEM provision within the academy, and lead our new STEM Stream programme.

Main Purpose of the job is to lead and promote STEM activities throughout the school. The Director of STEM will produce and maintain a working development plan for STEM activities in both the curriculum and the expansive curriculum. The Director of STEM will design, coordinate and lead the STEM pathway for all year groups. This is issued along with that for a Classroom Teacher.
