Job description
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated full time Head of Science with a specialism in Physics to join our Science Department and lead our team of experienced and talented Science specialists.
This position is suitable for an experienced teacher, who ideally has been a Head of Physics and is looking for the next step in their career. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, who will bring passion and enthusiasm, for the subject. You will have a clear desire to ensure high standards of pupil progression and attainment and provide stimulating learning opportunities.
As Head of Science, you will take the lead for the co-ordination of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, ensuring that each provision delivers challenging and inspiring science education to our students, many of whom take these subjects at A Level with ambitions to study science-based courses at university. You will lead on enrichment around the subjects, providing education opportunities in STEM related disciplines and experiences of science out the classroom.
