Job description

Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a construction business in South Bristol on the recruitment of an interim Buyer to support for a 3 month contract. This position will look to start immediately, therefore you must be immediately available to be considered.

Responsibilities of the Buyer will include but not be limited to:

• Managing and maintaining a bank of supplier relationships.
• Placing orders for materials and hire of equipment for construction projects, logging all necessary information onto an internal system.
• Obtaining material quotes for engineers enabling them to tender for jobs.
• Maintaining a supplier quote log, supplier price lists and project enquiry folders.
• Buying administrative tasks including supporting with weekly timesheets, trackers and maintaining records.

Your Profile:

• Previous buying experience, in a construction environment is essential for this position.
• Ability to manage a number of key stakeholder and supplier relationships both internally and externally.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly.

This role is fully office based in South Bristol, and offers a salary of between £30,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience.
