About the role

Ecclesiastical Insurance , who are proudly part of  Benefact Group , are looking for a Implementation Engineer  to join our  Gloucester  office with hybrid working between home and office to suit your routine.

We are in the process of undertaking a major strategic initiative, that will deliver a new General Insurance Platform to the business. This is a very exciting time to join the team, as we look to take advantage of modern IT integration and configuration frameworks and provide real innovation to the business.

You will be working within our Continuous Improvement Team and at Programme level, using the Scrum Framework, that will allow us to deliver regular value and enhancements to the business.

Key responsibilities

• A positive, can-do approach which promotes the right culture and behaviours aligned with Ecclesiastical.
• Develop, support and maintain our packaged solution suite.
• Working in collaboration with other technology teams to ensure successful integration, using configuration tools.
• Configure applications that are fit-for-purpose and support wider Group Technology Strategic & Legislative objectives.
• Able to understand and interpret business requirements to establish suitable technical solutions.
• Provide walkthroughs of changes, handover documentation and skills transfer to others as required.
• Work within current framework, whilst proactively seeking new ways of Continuous Improvement.
• A desire to learn new skills.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• JSON
• REST API
• Postman
• CSS and JavaScript
• Understanding of software design and software architecture principles.
• Experience in configuration and integration of IT systems across applications
• Awareness of Azure Cloud integration services would be useful
• A high-level understanding of event-driven architecture is beneficial
• Awareness of Low Code Application Software
