Job description
Purpose of the role
To provide accurate and timely information to the internal stakeholders. The role holder will be the key person in the production of the monthly management accounts for allocated process areas, and as such will actively seek to improve processes and reports, while also providing clarity on the balance sheet position through the completion of account reconciliations.
Key accountabilities
Prepare accurate, timely and cost effective management accounting information and highlight variances so that management can take effective action to improve operating performance
To assist in the collation of budget and forecast template information for designated management units and the subsequent analysis
To complete, with support, full reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for area of responsibility
Actively seek, propose and implement process improvements in area of responsibility with fellow team members
To build effective working relationships with site and other management and address queries within the monthly accounts, ensuring relevant parties have the knowledge and training required to understanding their accounts
Financial & Non-Financial accountabilities
Ensure completeness and accuracy of month end postings adhering to the task list
Complete thorough review and concise commentary on variances to plan / latest forecast
Preparation of full balance sheet reconciliations and appropriate investigation to allow thorough monthly review
Assist the business in compilation of quarterly forecasts and annual budget exercise
Raising and coding of manual documents as required
Any other tasks reasonably required by the finance department

Education/Qualification
Part-qualified accountant within a professional accounting qualification
