A position is available for an enthusiastic Die-cuttting Machine Minder (Cut & Crease machine operator) to join our packaging finishing department. The ideal candidate should have experience of running flatbed die cutting machines.
We are looking for someone who is keen to contribute to the growth of the business and become a proactive member of the finishing team. This role would suit an individual with a high level of motivation to continually improve quality and performance and a ‘can do’ attitude to solving problems.
As a BRC accredited packaging manufacturer, we work to BRC food packaging standards and have ISO 9001 quality accreditation. These standards focus on good manufacturing practices and high standards of hygiene. Training will be given to a promising candidate who may lack experience.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have worked in a luxury carton board packaging manufacturing site with experience in setting up and running Diecutting machines. The candidate will need to show experience and competence in:
All aspects of Making Ready & Running the Die-Cutting machines.
Maintenance of the Die-cutting machines
All aspects of preparing and successful troubleshooting with the Cut & Crease tooling (cutting dies, speed strip dies, female stripping dies).
All aspects of using Counters and Creasing Matrix for Making Ready
All aspects of making ready and running with Embossing/Debossing dies
The candidate will be joining at an exciting time for the company which is expanding its customer base to gain more business in food and luxury brand packaging.
Working hours are: Monday to Friday, double day shifts of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00 rotating weekly.
