Caerphilly County Borough Council has an opportunity for a Breakfast Club Assistant at the following school:

Glyngaer Primary School, Gelligaer

This important service ensures the provision of a healthy, nutritious breakfast in a familiar and safe environment for young minds to get the best out of their school day.

You will work alongside colleagues who are committed to giving all children the support and care they need to be happy and to achieve.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the supervision and guidance of the Breakfast Club pupils alongside following our policies ensuring that all food safety regulations are adhered to. You must be an effective communicator as you will not only be liaising with the pupils but parents and the school staff.

The role is Permanent, working 5 hours per week. That’s 1 hour daily, Monday to Friday during term time only (38 weeks a year).

A Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene in Catering would be ideal but not essential as full training on food safety awareness alongside other relevant courses will be provided.
