Copywriter needed to support domestic abuse charity

My CWA

Location

Crewe, Cheshire | United Kingdom

Job description

Since 1977, MyCWA has been supporting people impacted by domestic abuse in Cheshire. We are seeking creative copywriters to create compelling content to help us connect with and engage with our audience.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to create engaging and impactful copy to engage our audience of survivors and supporters, increase awareness of our cause, and drive support for our initiatives.

Core deliverables include writing and editing content for a variety of channels (including but not limited to social media posts, email marketing campaigns, blog articles, and website updates) and collaborating with our team to brainstorm content ideas that align with our marketing strategies and objectives.

Collaboration: The volunteer will work closely with MyCWA's Marketing & Communication Lead, who will provide guidance, feedback, and support. The role may also involve collaborating with other team members or departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to our communications.

Flexibility: We are open to exploring different ways the volunteer can contribute based on their strengths, interests, and the evolving needs of our organisation. We encourage creativity and innovation and are willing to adjust the scope of the role to utilise the unique talents and ideas the volunteer brings to the table.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a tangible difference through their writing and is adaptable and creative.

Location: Whether you prefer to work remotely or in our Crewe office, we offer flexible volunteering hours to fit around your schedule and commitments.

What are we looking for?

It is crucial all candidates are passionate about MyCWA's mission to create communities free from the fear of domestic abuse. An understanding of the sensitive nature of domestic abuse issues and the ability to communicate them with empathy and respect is also important.

What difference will you make?

About Us : MyCWA is a beacon of hope for people in Cheshire affected by domestic abuse. In just the last year, we've helped nearly 4,000 individuals through services including a 24/7 helpline, recovery programmes, children's services, refuge accommodation, and behaviour change programmes.

Faced with a recent substantial funding cut, our ability to help the most vulnerable is at risk. Now, more than ever, engaging our community and attracting new donors is critical to enable us to continue our vital work.

Your Impact: As a volunteer at MyCWA, your role is indispensable. Since 1977, we've been committed to supporting and advocating for those affected by domestic abuse, and your involvement is essential in elevating our mission. Your expertise in crafting impactful content will be instrumental in engaging with our diverse audience of service users, stakeholders, funders, and the public.
