Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

Monday – Thursday 09:00-18:00

Hourly Rate of Pay: £15.00 - £18.61 Per Hour depending on experience inc an enhanced rate

Based at: The home address in Bath, BA1

Job Purpose:

 

I am looking for 2 x brain injury support workers (One full time and one part time). I am in my 40s and live with my partner and our 2 dogs. I was involved in a road traffic accident in 2018 however I continue to make a remarkable recovery and I am very determined. I enjoy yoga, running, pottery, gardening and visiting museums. I am looking to recruit a small team of support workers who can support me at home and in the community.

 

I am looking for a support worker who I can build a positive rapport with, has similar interests and who can use daily activities to support me to achieve my therapeutic goals. This role offers the opportunity to work in a comfortable family home environment and provides a well-defined space for various activities.

 

To ensure I achieve my best outcomes, it's imperative that you can achieve yours. You'll receive support through a well-defined role profile, Line Manager support, and collaboration with a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) offering professional oversight. Effective communication, including formal and informal feedback, is paramount. Your capacity to interpret, understand, and deliver clinical objectives while prioritizing the client's values is key.

Person specification

 

Experience of working with adults with a brain injury or similar challenges

A valid UK driving licence

A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer

Able to use your own initiative & be proactive in finding activities and topics that will be interesting and add value to the client

Flexible in the hours and times that you can work

Be patient and supportive

Be friendly and outgoing

Be honest and trustworthy

Understand the need for privacy, dignity & confidentiality

Proficiency in English, with a willingness to embrace diversity in language skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant clinical field education or equivalent experience.

Familiarity with working in a multidisciplinary team.
