Workshop Fitter
Newark, Salary up to £17.50 per hour, circa £35,000 per annum
Benefits – Healthcare, free onsite parking, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

We are recruiting for a Workshop Fitter, for a global market leader within the construction and plant machinery industry. As a Workshop Fitter you will join my clients bustling team and get involved in all aspects of machine maintenance.

The Role

As a Workshop Fitter, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Prepare new and used machinery for sale.
• Identify parts and repairs to machines.
• Update CRM system with all relevant information and documentation.
• Assisting in dispatching and receiving machines.
• Undertake machine inspections, make recommendations for agreed specifications.
• Maintain the workshop in line with Health and Safety regulations.

The Candidate

The successful Workshop Fitterwill possess the following:

• Level 2 NVQ or above in Plant Mechanics/Maintenance.
• Proven experience within a similar industry -heavy plant/agriculture/truck mechanics.
• Attention to detail with all documentation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Positive and proactive mindset.
• Listening and understanding customer needs.

As a Workshop Fitter you will be looking at continuous improvement and working on your own initiative to thrive in the busy workshop.
