Job description

My client a well established manufacturing company based in Blackburn is looking for a HR Administrator to join them on initially a temporary basis for 6 months. This however could become more permanent for the right person.

The hours are 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Start/finish times can be tailored to your needs and the requirements of the business – full details to be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities:

• Working under the guidance of the HR manager to provide administrative support for the human resources function.
• Assisting with the review and development of relevant policies and procedures.
• HR database management.
• Assist with the recruitment and on boarding process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial interviews
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
• Support the HR team in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
• Conduct research on HR best practices and assist with HR projects as needed
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department

Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in an HR administrative role
• Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Whatever your background and level, you must be an effective communicator with an approachable, consistent and friendly manner. The right person would possess the confidence to work on your own initiative and have excellent organisational and time management skills, plus strong IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
