Job description
Based on the outskirts of St. Helens within easy commute from the M6, this business have recently completed on a number of acquisitions. As they absorb the accounting requirements for new entities, they are set for further growth in the coming 12 to 24 months. This role is new in the business and will support the commercial decision making process adding value across the various business units and central group function.

Your role as Finance Analyst / Cost Accountant
As Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the business has adequate costing templates in place and that annualised, legislative and ad-hoc costing are updated within a strict governance time frame. You will be responsible for tracking any changes made for invoicing and forecasting purposes. You shall work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the costing templates are always accurate and fit for purpose.
Main Role Duties:
• Own the costing templates used across the Group to ensure compliance within working parameters.
• Support ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations where required.
• Manage the contract database to ensure all contract and invoicing detail remains accurate across the Group.
• Ensure all annual contract increases are completed, analysed and tracked effectively.
• Support the business units by completing costing/financial analysis where required.
• Monitor and track profitability across each business unit and group.
• Ensure a One Way of Working culture is adopted across the costing and financial analysis, adding value to the commercial decision making process at a senior level.
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered for this role you shall have experience in a fast paced environment, and in a similar role. Open to Candidates who are QBE, studying or part/fully qualified, you shall have experience of working as part of a team with the ability to maintain positive working relationships. You shall have a strong technical skillset and the experience of producing detailed financial analysis. Able to also build and develop reporting, you shall be strong utilizing cost models and have an analytical mind, able to utilize large data sets to assist decision making.
