We are looking for someone like you to join the Newport City Council to work for the seasonal role as a " Gardener "

Role: Gardener

Contract length: 02nd April 2024 - 27th Sept 2024

Location: NP19 0ES

Pay Rate: £12.59 ph

Shift Pattern: 37 hours a week, Mon to Thurs 7:30 am to 3:30 pm & Friday 7:30 am to 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Cutting of grass with a rotary mower or ride on mower (dependent on location)
• Strimming of gardens and grassed areas
• Litter picking grassed areas before cutting grass
• Cutting of hedges and pruning when required, taking care and attention
• Sweeping of paths, leaving the area clean and tidy
• Cleaning of all tools and equipment after use
• Take responsibility for your own personal safety and that of your colleagues and others around you

Requirements :

• Driving license Experience using powered tools
• Hard working with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Self motivated and enjoy working as part of a supportive team
