What you’ll do:
As the Third-Party Property Damage (TPPD) Technical Lead you will provide technical best practice leadership, oversight and support for Claims, with a focus on Third party property damage. You will play an active and collaborative part also across Claims and the wider business. In the role, you will also:
Provide market and industry insight, including developing relationships with relevant market entities.
Drive the continual refinement and development of third-party property damage strategies to include, enhanced indemnity and income opportunities.
Co-ordinate activities to identify, investigate and develop technical responses to emerging market trends.
Produce timely and high-quality position papers to support strategic requirements.
Lead the continuous development and publication of claims technical best practice for TPPD.
Promote and support the development of technical capability, including design and ownership of class-specific technical learning content.
What we look for:
Experience in a senior leadership role within a Motor Claims environment.
Understanding of the key levers in motor claims that can be utilised to improve indemnity and income performance from both accidental damage and TPPD perspective.
High competency, with in-depth technical best practice know-how and a strong quality ethos.
Passion for and supporter of continuous improvement mindset – with an externally focused view across relevant industries.
Experience in reacting quickly to changing market conditions (whether regulatory or economy related).
A real advocate for the development of claims technical capability.
Works effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Relevant industry qualification(s) are desirable.
Person Specification

A driven self-starter, passionate about the industry in which they work.

This role can be based in any of our DLG sites including Bromley, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds or Manchester. We will also consider home working. The role will require frequent travel, sometimes at short notice to various locations throughout the UK.
