Job description
A specialist STEAM teacher is required for a September 2024 start.
Due to our continued growth and the opening of our STEAM Centre of Excellence and Innovation, we seek to appoint outstanding STEAM Teacher with the ability to teach Science & and additional STEAM subject to join our team in September 2024.
The appointed candidate will teach specialist Science and another STEAM subject. An interest in teaching a Technology, Engineering, Computing, creative or digital arts, alongside Science is essential. Our innovative approach to STEAM places real emphasis on harnessing pupils’ creative talents and blending them with the analytical skills of critical thinking, creative and design led problem solving within an interdisciplinary and experiential curriculum context.
The successful candidate will have experience and interest in promoting and developing integrated STEAM projects for children of all genders and backgrounds across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. They will have a passion to ensure that opportunities are provided through interactions with industry and employers to demonstrate connections between the subjects’ pupils study and their future careers in a rapidly evolving world.
Our innovative curriculum is distinguished by our unique STEAM programme and Project-based Learning pedagogy where pupils ‘learn by doing,’ developing solutions to real-world projects and problems. Pupils combine knowledge and skills from different subjects and develop the key ‘5C’ skills of creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and commitment, which are critical to success in today’s world.
The right candidate will be highly a committed team player with the drive, energy and passion to develop our curriculum within this forward-looking school. They will be practical problem solvers, yet aspirational in their goals for STEAM spaces and outcomes. Applicants must be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the school’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.

· Dynamic, enthusiastic, and well-qualified holding as a minimum, a B.Ed., or a B.A & PGCE and QTS.
